Gov’t Mule kicked off their annual New Year’s Eve run at the Beacon Theater last night in NYC. The tradition has morphed over the years to be more of an East Coast run, but the final shows always end at the Beacon.
This year’s run didn’t have a theme like in year’s past, but last night’s show was chock full of guests and covers. A couple of the guests included Shawn Pelton, Oz Noy, Jeff Babcock, Lincoln Schleifer, Jimmy Vivino, Carmine Appice, Paul Ill and the Better Half Singers featuring Machan Taylor, Mini Carlsson & Elaine Caswell.
Among the doozies that the Mule dropped on the Beacon last night included a “Wish You Were Here” encore with Shawn Pelton & The Better Half Singers and a “Little Martha” tease and “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed” with Shawn Pelton & Jimmy Vivino.
