Gov’t Mule’s Island Exodus turned 10 this year. The annual retreat to Runaway Bay, Jamaica is different from other band’s tropical getaways in that it happens during the week. Island Exodus kicked off on Sunday the 20th and wrapped up last night, Thursday the 24th.

This year the 10th Exodus featured three 2-set Mule shows in addition to sets from an awesome line-up including Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real, Devon Allman Project ft. Duane Betts, Ron Holloway and more.

With so many great musicians at one resort, the sit-ins and collaborations were abundant. During one of Lukas Nelson and POTR’s sets, Warren Haynes who is no stranger to jamming with Lukas, joined in on a monster “Down By the River” that clocks in over 20 minutes. Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real is also no stranger to Neil Young.
