After missing a pair of shows due to the birth of his daughter, including the sets at the Peach Festival this year, Joe Russo was back behind the drum kit at Joe Russo’s Almost Dead hit the road again.
This past weekend, JRAD visited Stanford University to play at Frost Amphitheater with special guest Stuart Bogie on the saxophone. The Grateful Dead were a staple at Frost Amphitheater through the 80s playing there a total of 14 times in the decade.
JRAD brought Stanford University back in time, if only for a night with some good ‘ol Grateful Dead. Some of the highlights included “China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider,” “Franklin’s Tower,” and “Estimated Prophet.”
