Bob Weir followed up his return to the stage in Red Rocks with a second night at the legendary venue before heading to Vail for a pair of shows. As in the first show, the Wolf Bros where accompanied by the Wolf Pack strings and horn section.

It’s great to see Bobby continue to innovate at 73 years young. Listen to Weir and the Wolf Bros & Pack segue from “Eyes of the World” into Marvin Gaye’s “Whats Going On?” back into “Eyes.”

Listen to Oteil Burbridge and Friends Live at B Chord Brewing Company – 6/5/2021 AUD

Oteil Burbridge rounded up his friends for a gig at the B Chord Brewing Company in Round Hill, Virginia this past weekend. Oteil was joined by Tom Guarna on guitar, Pete Lavezzoli on vocals and drums and Jason Crosby on keyboards and vocals.

The quartet stuck nearly exclusively to Dead and JGB material during the two sets plus extended encore.

Listen to the Oteil Burbridge Trio Jam on the Dead at The Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park – 2/13/2021 AUD

The Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park, host to the killer annual music festival hosted a two-night golf cart drive-in event. Dubbed ‘Funky Mardi Gras “Mask”erade,’ the Saturday night slot was taken by the Oteil Burbridge Trio.

Oteil, who usually opts for a more traditional ‘Friends’ lineup, was joined by Tom Guana on guitar and Pete Lavazoli on drums. All three musicians took turns sharing the vocal responsibilities. As one would suspect, the set was stuffed with plenty of Dead and JGB tunes.

Watch Bob Weir and Wolf Bros Cover Jerry Garcia’s “Mission in the Rain” at TRI Studios

Bob Weir hinted in the fall that his TRI Studios would be getting more use in the coming months. After his New Year’s Eve gig, Weir assembled his Wolf Pack or rather his Wolf Bros for another show to celebrate the Chinese New Year last night.

Weir was joined by Don Was, Jay Lane, Jeff Chimenti + Greg Leisz, with special guests The Wolf Pack for the special live-streamed gig. While there was in-person attendance, the TRI team set up live feeds of fans dancing in front of the band to give a taste of that band-fan interaction.

In addition to the sneak-peek that Relix shared, Danceintank captured Bobby covering Jerry Garcia’s “Mission in the Rain.”

Thanks again to Bobby for the stream and here’s hoping we see more Bobby and TRI Studio shows in the future. At the end of the sneak peek, Bobby apologized for the shortcomings with the digital fan wall but said the issues will be fixed next time!
