Dead and Co hit the TD Garden for their second show in Boston after taking a night off. No surprises here—John Mayer and the crew delivered another killer show.
Some of the highlights include Mayer digging into “Dire Wolf,” a gorgeous “Brokedown Palace” encore, Oteil taking the lead of “Comes a Time,” and a face-melting “Morning Dew” out of “Space.” During the final show of the Dew, Mayer looks as if he could go on for hours, but Bobby knows better and pulls him in. One of the other highlights that hasn’t surfaced yet is Mayer pulling double-duty as Donna and doing the “OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOYEAAAAAAHAAAAAAYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH” wail.
Thanks to Jam Buzz contributor Jamey Klein who had front row seats, albeit with a bit of an obstructed view. One of the cool things about his seats was the front row view of the ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter. Even the hearing-impaired get love at a Dead show!
