Listen to Phish Kick Off Fall Tour with Debut in Sacramento – 10/15/2021 AUD

After a brief break in the action that featured a Trey Anastasio Band tour, Phish hit the road again for a fall leg of their tour. The west coast tour kicked off earlier this week in Sacramento at the Golden 1 Arena.

Among the highlights was a live debut of a song that Phish wrote and recorded 35 years ago. “And So To Bed,” which was sandwiched into the second set was first recorded by the P-fish on The White Tape 35 years ago and first played at this show.

Listen to the Grateful Dead’s Final Show on This Day in 1995 – 7/9/1995 SBD

The next stop on the We Will Get By Streaming Tour is among the saddest show for Dead fans—the Grateful Dead played their last show on this day on July 9, 1995 at Solider Field in Chicago, IL.

There were some remarkable Dead tours in the 90s—summer of 1995 was not one of them. Jerry’s health was failing and it impacted the playing. That’s not to say that all shows were bad and their weren’t moments of brilliance hidden into shows.

The Dead’s last show certainly had a few of those moments of brilliance. While it’s heartbreaking to hear (or watch), “So Many Roads” and “Black Muddy River” are required listening. Jerry’s flame shined brightly on these two songs in particular.

Listen to Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ Last Spring Tour Show in Chicago – 3/11/2020 AUD

COVID-19, or known earlier at the coronavirus has changed life in America and around the world. Unfortunately one of the most likely places to spread the virus is in large gatherings, such as a concert. As a result, most if not all tours have been suspended for the next month or two.

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ landed in Chicago at the Chicago Theatre before the Coronavirus gripped the nation. The tour stop would be the last one before they postponed the rest of the tour to the fall.

The show included a bunch of Bobby favorites and some uncharacteristic Dead tunes in the second. Check out the banging “Shakedown Street” featuring some fine guitar work from Bob and the chilling “Morning Dew.”

Listen to Bob Weir and Wolf Bros’ Show at The Majestic Ventura Theater – 9/20/2019 AUD

Bob Weir has reunited with his Wolf Bros (Jay Lane and Don Was) for a few shows in late September. The mini-tour is all West Coast and ends Santa Cruz Mountain Sol Festival.

One of Weir’s four stops on the run was the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, CA. The Majestic was treated to a classic Weir/Dead show with tunes like “Black-Throated Wind,” “New Speedway Boogie” and “Loser.”

Phil Salazar joined Weir, Was and Lane in the second set and played the fiddle on “Friend of the Devil,” “Birdsong,” “All Along the Watchtower,” and “Franklin’s Tower.”

After the Sol Festival, Bobby’s next run is with Dead and Company for their mini-tour at the end of October and beginning of November.

Listen to Phish’s Heavy Hitting “Tweezer > Death Don’t Hurt Very Long > Tweezer” at MSG – 12/29/2018 Full Show AUD

Phish returned for their second of their fourth night of their annual New Year’s Eve Madison Square Garden run last night. Phish didn’t waste anytime the night before busting out Kasvot Vaxt material and last night MSG was treated to a couple of the new songs as well.

The party got started with a very strong “Blaze On” in the first set into Kasvot’s “Turtle in the Clouds.” Trey and Mike didn’t disappoint and reprised the funky synchronized dance while Page took over on the keys.

Another highlight from set one included the funktastic “46 Days > Cities” and “Wolfman’s Brother > Party Time > Wolfman’s Brother.”

A second set “Carini” opener is always welcome. Phish didn’t waste anytime getting into the extended second set jams and followed with a 20 minute “Tweezer” into a fiery “Death Don’t Hurt Very Long.” “Tweezer” came back for another 7 minutes before slowing things down with Zeppelin’s “No Quarter.”
