Gov’t Mule has been relentlessing touring this year in support of their new album Revolution Come…Revolution Go. The album comes after dozens of studio and live releases over their 23 year career. It’s great to see the Mule kicking out such a raw and gritty album after so many years.
One of the more potent songs off the new album is a hard rocker, “Stone Cold Rage.” The song sound like it could have been off of their albums from 20 years ago. Gov’t Mule treated the audience at the Conan O’Brien show last night to a rocking version of “Stone Cold Rage.”
This isn’t Gov’t Mule’s and Conan O’Brien’s first encounter. Not by a long shot. The first time Mule played on Conan was back in 1995 in the Allen Woody Days. Here is a clip from Mule performing a shortened version of their classic tune “Mule” on 12/29/1995, just a couple of days before their New Year’s Eve show with Blues Traveler at the Roseland Ballroom.
Thanks to Team Coco for posting the performance.
