John Scofield, long-time collaborator and musical soulmate of Gov’t Mule, toured last year with the Mule. Check out this pro-footage from the show at the capitol theater.

While the Scofield and Gov’t Mule collaborations created many unique music, I think their work together is best examplified by Sco-Mule. The instrumental showcases the unique blend of hard-driving blues rock of Mule with a wink to classic that classic jazz sound thanks to Scofield.
