While Phish 3.0 is in full-effect this tour, the Phish from Vermont were melting faces over 20 years ago. A new taper recording from the 1998 summer tour recently surfaced.

While Phish setlists today are naturally more diverse (they have released a ton of new material in the last two decades), the setlist from August 6, 1998 was EPIC. Trey and the boys treated Atlanta to Ween’s “Roses are Free,” “Fluffhead,” “Wolfman’s Brother,” and a double “Runnin’ With the Devil” and “You Enjoy Myself” encore.

A few days later, Phish dropped one of their best encores of all time on the anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s Death—”Terrapin Station.”
