The Phish pulled into their final city of their short Fall Tour on Friday. The North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston is home to the P-fish’s final three shows before their run later this month at MSG.
Pulling a play from the Baker’s Dozen, Phish has successfully navigated this fall tour without repeating a song. On night one North Charleston was treated to a packed setlist with a few surprises and a ton of 1.0 material including the illusive “The Lizards” to close the second set.
To open the first set, Phish busted out “Carolina” for the first time since December 30, 2016 for a gap of 103 shows. Another sweet bust out was “Bittersweet Motel” for the first song of the encore. The last time they played “Bittersweet Motel” was dating back to summer tour of 2016—July 6, 2016. Trey changed the lyrics of the tune to “halfway from Charleston to Pittsburgh” much to the delight of North Charleston.
