Dead and Company’s tour moseyed on down to Atlanta before heading west to Texas. The boys treated the ATL to a dynamite setlist with heavy hitters like “Scarlet Begonias,” “Franklin’s Tower,” “Terrapin Station” and a “Fire on the Mountain” encore.
One of the highlights of the show came towards the end of the second set with “Standing on the Moon.” The delicate Dead classic got Bobby choked up halfway through the performance. The heartfelt passage was followed by a transcendent solo from Mayer to complete the masterpiece.
If you couldn’t tell from the video, Bobby has been working out. The 71 years young Grateful Dead founder is looking and sounding better than ever.
