Phil Lesh had little downtime after his six gigs with Bobby and friends in NYC, Boston and Chicago. Last night, Phil returned to New York to reunite with son and the rest of the Terrapin Family Band at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY.

Phil turns 78 years young today and is in tip-top form as the run with Bobby showed. Peter Shapiro welcomed Phil in style with a happy birthday billboard at the train station!

Phil’s birthday billboard has been installed! If you’re in the area stop by and check it out. We love you, Phil! #grateful #portchester #philleshandfriends #phillesh

Phil shared a bill with Stevie Winwood in the first of three gigs at the Cap. Phil’s set was short, but sweet and included a good mix of Dead songs and other covers that leaned heavily on the Dead’s earlier years.

John Scofield will be in the house for tonight and tomorrow’s shows!
