Candler Park Music and Food Festival was last Friday and Saturday in Atlanta, GA. The boutique festival featured an action pack line-up including Railroad Earth, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Marcus King Band among others.
Marcus King Band had an early slot on Saturday and delivered the goods. During the killer set, MKB paid tribute to the late Gregg Allman with an incredible rendition of the Allman Brothers Band classic “Dreams.” To end the set, Marcus King set the park ablaze with Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” In addition to the pair of covers, MKB colored their set with Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad and Led Zeppelin teases. This band puts on a hell of a rock show.
