Footage from a vintage Allman Brothers Band show recently surfaced on YouTube. The show features the ABB at an interesting time in their history during the summer of 99 at The Great Allentown Fair.
Now legendary guitarist Derek Trucks joined the band just earlier in the summer. Not even able to legally drink, Derek joined ABB at the age of 20 years old.
This show on September 1, 1999 features a rare overlap of both Derek Trucks and Dickey Betts tenure with the band. The rest of the lineup in the summer of 1999 included drummers Jaimoe and Butch Trucks, percussionist Marc Quinones, bassist Oteil Burbridge and of course keyboardist Gregg Allman.
This setlist is an absolute doozy, especially the second set.
