Phish started making moves back east in preparation for the Baker’s Dozen at MSG kicking off this weekend. Of all places between Chicago and NYC they decided to give Dayton, OH some love. The last time they played at the Nutter Center at Wright State University was nearly twenty years ago on 12/7/1997—considered by some as one of Phish’s best shows of the period. Fast forward to 2017 and Phish has survived break-ups, thousands of concerts and is still going strong.
Dayton was treated to some pre-baker’s dozen tasty jams last night including “Peaches en Regalia,” “Roggae,” “46 Days,” an unfinished but awesome “Down with the Disease” to open the second set, “Ghost” and “Wombat.”
My absolute favorite Phish commentator and Dayton native FZappa20 was at the Nutter Center and gives a great rundown of the show:
For those who weren’t in Dayton, Phish decided to give out a last minute webcast for free! Watch the show in glorious HD courtesy of the P-fish.
