Eric Clapton is finishing up a short east coast and west coast tour that brought him to New York City and Englewood, CA. Clapton was supported during the gigs by fellow blues guitar slingers, Jimmy Vaughan and Gary Clark Jr.
His shows this brief tour have included some pretty cool collaborations with his opening acts. On Friday night’s show in Englewood, Clapton welcomed Clark Jr. and Vaughan to the stage for a “Before You Accuse Me” encore.
The blues standard “Before You Accuse Me,” was originally written and recorded by Bo Diddley in the late 50’s before Clapton recorded it on his 1989 album Journeyman. Clark Jr., Vaughan and Clapton each took their hand at soloing during the classic tune.
