Bob Weir has been laying low near home in anticipation for this summer’s Dead and Company tour, but that hasn’t stopped him from the occasional sit-in during shows in the Bay Area.
Two nights ago, Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real played at the Great American Music Hall in San Fran for their second of a two-night run. Bobby made a surprise appearance for three songs and sounded great despite technical difficulties. Weir and Nelson played a couple of Dead classics including “Althea”, “West LA Fadeaway” and finally Dylan’s “Maggie’s Farm.”
Thanks to Doug Clifton for the great front row footage.
