Updated: Thanks to Jeff Travitz for the full show audio!
Dead and Company rolled into NYC (Queens to be exact) last night and rocked Citi Field to it’s core. I was lucky enough to be a whiteness to the damn fine Dead show last night.
One of the many highlights (and there were a ton), was Bobby launching into “Morning Dew” at the end of the second set, to end all second sets. Weir’s impeccable vocals echoed through the stadium and everyone was up on their feet after nearly three hours to dancing. Mayer’s guitar solos on Dew had an urgency to them that demanded your full attention. It was about as good of a “Morning Dew” you will hear in 2017.
Thanks to our man Sean Roche for the great footage. Here are some other vids from the show including Oteil taking the lead on “Comes a Time”
