After a Hawaiian New Years and a run in Vegas with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Phil Lesh has settled back in to his home turf at Terrapin Crossroads. A couple of nights ago, Phil was joined by Stu Allen, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Jason Crosby, Alex Koford and Nicki Bluhm for a night of music entitled “Thunder and Lightning.”

To close the concert, Phil and Friends covered Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free Word” into the Grateful Dead classic “Morning Dew.” While “Rockin’ in the Free World” features some noteworthy guitar playing from Allen, the real treat is “Morning Dew.” Nicki Bluhm’s beautiful vocals highlights the beautiful version of the song.
