Bob Weir reunited with Phil Lesh once again this month at Terrapin Crossroads. The Grateful Dead founding members have shared the stage a couple of times this month—another promising sign of things to come.

Yesterday’s collaboration also featured guitar slinger Jackie Greene. Weir, Lesh, Greene and the Terrapin Allstars jammed on Dead classics like “Feel Like a Stranger,” “Viola Lee Blues,” and “Jack Straw” among others.

If there is a more welcome sight than Bob Weir and Phil Lesh sharing the stage once again, then please send it my way. Phil Lesh returned to the stage with The Terrapin Allstars on Saturday afternoon that including Jackie Greene.

Much to the surprise and delight of those in attendance, Bob Weir joined Phil and the band for the first few songs of the set. This marks the first time since the pandemic shut down the live music scene that Bob and Phil have joined forces.

Among the tunes that Weir at-in on was a funky “Shakedown Street.”

While Phil Lesh has played the occasional gig at his Terrapin Crossroads home base, Phil assembled a legit Friends line-up on Monday afternoon.

The socially distant late afternoon show boasted guitar slinger Eric Krasno, Holly Bowling on keys, Grahame Lesh on guitar, Elliott Peck on vocals & Scott Amendola on drums. While the setlist wasn’t as adventurous as Phil and Friends sets usually are, there was plenty of tasty Dead jams in the set!

Phil Lesh played a rare public set last week at the backyard of his Terrapin Crossroads venue. The socially distanced affair featured Phil, Stu Allen, Grahame Lesh & Dan Lebowitz.

The short but sweet set included some killer Dead tunes. Good to see Phil back in action!

Watch Phil Lesh and .moe Deliver a Gorgeous “Eyes of the World” at Terrapin Crossroads

Footage of .moe’s summer visit to Terrapin Crossroads in 2018 has surfaced on YouTube. .moe was joined by Grateful Dead founding member Phil Lesh on bass during the show.

When you have Phil sitting in with you and you are at Terrapin Crossroads, there an expectation that you’ll hear some good ‘ol Grateful Dead. .moe and Phil delivered in spades playing a mini-Dead set to kick the show off with. Buried six songs into the set was a beautiful “Eyes of the World” featuring an exquisite xylophone solo.
