Holly Bowling just kicked off her Summer 2017 tour last week and her second stop was at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ.
The intimate hall provided Holly the perfect venue for an emotional tribute to a friend of hers that had passed the week before. While she played a wide range of tunes from the Dead and Phish catalogues, her selection included some more melancholy tunes like “Wharf Rat,” “Stella Blue,” and “Miss You.”
Holly Bowling’s husband, Jeffrey Bowling was on hand to record the show. Here is what he has to say about the show:
“This show was played on an amazing 9ft Yamaha CFX piano & sounds amazing. Holly dedicated it to a friend of ours who passed away last week and you can really hear the emotion in her playing. This might be my favorite recording of hers I have uploaded to archive. Hope you all enjoy.”
