Watch Phish Kick Off Dick’s Run with “The Howling > Piper” Second Set Closer

After a monster summer tour, Phish reunited for one final hurrah at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, in Commerce City, CO. The annual run kicked off in Thursday night.

To close out the second set, the P-fish revived one of their new tunes from the Sci-fi Solider set from last Halloween at MGM, “The Howling.” The tune segued into “Piper” for a fantastic end to the second set before the “Hood” encore.

Phish’s summer tour is alive and well. The P-fish just finished a two-night run at the TD Pavilion at the Mann in Philly before heading to Bethel Woods.

On night one, Trey, Mike, Page, and Jon started the night with a bust-out of “Space Oddity” acapella—the first in 154 shows. In the second set, Phish weaved “Tweezer” through nearly the entire set after the opening “More.”

Just days after Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds had their excursion in Mexico, Phish kicked off their Riviera Maya run at the Moon Palace last night.

On Dave and Tim’s last night, Trey Anastasio sat in for a couple of tunes. On Phish’s opening night, Dave Matthews returned the favor. Dave joined the P-fish for their encore and sat in on “So Damn Lucky,” “The Maker” and “Tweezer Reprise.”

Listen to Phish Kick Off Fall Tour with Debut in Sacramento – 10/15/2021 AUD

After a brief break in the action that featured a Trey Anastasio Band tour, Phish hit the road again for a fall leg of their tour. The west coast tour kicked off earlier this week in Sacramento at the Golden 1 Arena.

Among the highlights was a live debut of a song that Phish wrote and recorded 35 years ago. “And So To Bed,” which was sandwiched into the second set was first recorded by the P-fish on The White Tape 35 years ago and first played at this show.

Watch Phish’s Wild Show from Virginia Beach on Summer Tour 1997 – 7/21/1997 Video

Phish returned last night with their Dinner and a Movie installment. Listening to the numerous calls from Phish fans, the P-fish delivered a 1.0 gem from summer tour 1997.

The vintage pick from Phish’s Virginia Beach stop included an epic first-set “Bathtub Gin” and a rare special guest in the second set. Founding member of the Dave Matthews Band, LeRoi Moore joined for the jam out of “Theme from the Bottom” and stuck around for “Funky Bitch.” Things got out of control during the jam. LeRoi managed to play two saxes at the same time and the rest of the band got jealous. Soon Trey donned not one but two extra guitars, Mike played two basses and the Cracklin’ Rosie cymbals, Fish had four drumsticks and Page was lying across his keyboards playing as many as possible.
