Les Claypool pulled double duty at Red Rocks a couple of weeks back when he played a double bill with Primus and Claypool Lennon Delirium at the gorgeous Red Rocks Amphitheater.
The Claypool Lennon Delirium was only an hour and 15 minutes, but jam packed. Claypool and Sean Lennon (son of John and Yoko) walked out to their instrumental original “There’s No Underwear in Space.” CLD launched into a familiar cover of the early Pink Floyd tune “Astronomy Domine.”
The rest of the set included a lot of originals off their 2016 release ‘The Monolith of Phobos’ and a couple of other spaced out covers including King Crimson’s “In the Court of the Crimson King” and an especially tasty version of The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows” (starting at around 1:06:00) to close out the set.
