After a couple of meet-ups last year, Devon Allman and Duane Betts, sons of Allman Brothers Band founding members Duane Allman and Dickey Betts are set to tour together this year. First on the list this year was the Florida Jazz & Blues Jam.
The Devon Allman Project hit the stage at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater and Duane Betts joined for the second half of the shortened festival set. The first tune was the ABB classic, “Blue Sky” which was a Dickey Betts specialty. As you’ll hear, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Duane stayed out for the rest of the set and jammed on more ABB classics like “Midnight Rider,” “Melissa,” and “One Way Out.”
The Allman + Betts World Tour officially kicks off in a couple of weeks on the Rock Legends Cruise.
