After a two year hiatus, Gov’t Mule returned to the annual Mountain Jam festival. Warren brought the Mule back to the festival this year which changed locations from Hunter Mountain, NY to the site of the original Woodstock—Bethel Woods, NY.

The renewed Mountain Jam is headlined by two nights of Mule, Willie Nelson, Phil Lesh and Friends and the Avett Brothers. Mule’s set last night featured some good ‘ol classic Mule with a couple of head-nods to the Allman Brothers Band who had headlined Mountain Jam in years past.

Late in the set, former Megadeath guitarist Jeff Young joined the Mule for the closing “The Other One Jam > Soulshine > Tupelo Honey >Soulshine.”

Gov’t Mule’s second Mountain Jam set is scheduled for tonight. Their long awaited set will honor Woodstock’s 50th anniversary and is sure to be a highlight of the festival.
