Eric Clapton’s two day Crossroads Guitar Festival kicked off last night in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center. The two day festival features the best of the best blues guitarists in the scene today.
During Frampton’s set, Clapton came out for a surprise sit-in. This marked the first time in history that Peter and Eric have shared the stage. Frampton and Clapton marked this historical collaboration by playing the legendary Beatles’ song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” The George Harrison penned song featured none other than Eric Clapton on guitar when the Beatles recorded it back in 1968.
Frampton and Clapton solo’s are simply spellbinding. Too bad it took this long for them to share the stage!
