Foundations of Funk, The Meters offshoot including Zigaboo Modeliste, George Porter, Jr., Anders Osborne, JoJo Hermann and the Bonerama Horns played a late night Jazz Fest show at Howlin’ Wolf this weekend. Brandon “Taz” Niederauer made a surprise appearance as well.

Taz absolutely burned down the Howlin’ Wolf with one of the nastiest, face-melting guitar solos during a cover of The Meters’ “He Bite Me.” Osborne joined in halfway through the tune with some tasty slide guitar work before Taz jumped back in to battle Anders to a guitar duel.

Thanks to Nunu Zomot for the great front row footage!
