One of the highlights of the Jazz Fest late night circuit last year was the Daze Between band. The Daze Between Band is back in name, but with a totally different line-up this time around.

The band’s line-up this year included Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce), Grahame Lesh (Terrapin Family Band), David Schools (Widespread Panic), Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic), John Medeski (Medeski Martin and Wood) and Tom Hamilton (Joe Russo’a Almost Dead, Ghost Light.)

After the MC confuses Duane Trucks for either Duane Allman or Derek Trucks and introduces him as a guitar player, the band launched into a spirited “Shakedown Street” extended jam. The Daze Between Band covered a number of other songs including one of Jerry Garcia Band’s favorite tunes “That’s Love Will Make You Do” and the Grateful Dead’s “Eyes of the World.”
