Holly Bowling had her coming out party at Christmas Jam a couple of weeks ago where she played several sets and sat-in with a variety of bands. Xmas Jam was arguably the largest gig she has played, in large part because it was the first time a lot of Deadheads heard her new Grateful Dead covers.
Watch Bob Weir, Holly Bowling and Friends Perform a Gorgeous “Eyes of the World” at Christmas Jam
While she may have jammed with Bobby at Christmas Jam, Holly has been in out and of Terrapin Crossroads sitting in and playing sets with Phil Lesh for the last few months. One of those gigs was a backyard happy hour with Ross James and Eric DiBerardino.
Check out this great footage from Holly’s side of the stage of her signature Dead tune, “Eyes of the World.” What you will notice right away, or maybe not at all is the absence of anyone on drums. The stripped down version allows Holly to really shine on the keys.
Thanks to Holly for video and direct audio feed!
If you are digging this lineup, check out more footage from the happy hour set.
