Widespread Panic finished up their annual Panic en la Playa run at the Hard Rock in Riviera Maya last night. As with previous nights in the run, a guest joined WSP to jam on stage.
Dave School’s spilled the beans before last night’s finale and shared this picture of Jimmy Herring and Marcus King rehearsing on Facebook.
After another incredible two sets, Marcus King came to the stage to jam on a pair of songs to close out the second set. The first was a cover of “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” by Led Zeppelin and the second was a nearly 20-minute “Mountain Jam.” Thanks to MrTopdogger for the awesome footage!
While Widespread Panic only has a handful of dates on the calendar for 2018, Marcus King has an epic 2018 lined up. He is touring with his band and sharing a stage with Umphrey’s McGee and Tedeschi Trucks Band, joining forces with Chris Robinson for As the Crow Flies and a tour over seas.
