Lukas Nelson returned to YouTube for his weekly installment of Soundcheck Songs last week. While all of the songs in the series to date have been covers with Promise of the Real backing Lukas, this week’s song featured Nelson solo on an acoustic guitar.

Instead of diving into the rock and roll sound book, Lukas shared a beautiful take on his original tune “Set Me Down on a Cloud.” Nelson, who has obviously inherited his dad’s songwriting genes, dedicated the song to “people who are having to sit in a room right now.”

Thanks to Lukas Nelson for the footage!
