The Grateful Dead are back with another installment of All the Years Live on YouTube. The latest footage comes from the summer of 1990 in Raleigh, NC.
The Dead delivered a soulful rendition of “Loser” right after the opening “Jack Straw”—what a great one-two combo to open a show! Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes about the performance, “Another standout from Jerry’s debut solo album, Loser joined the repertoire in February 1971, along so many other Grateful Dead classics including Bird Song, Wharf Rat, Playing In The Band, and many others. It remained a consistent part of the repertoire until 1995, a reliably excellent Jerry first set song.”
Thanks to the Grateful Dead for the footage!
