Dave Matthews Band made their pilgrimage to The Gorge in Washington for their annual three-night Labor Day run earlier this month. Dave played the shows, but not with his usual line-up.
At the last minute, Matthews announced that the shows would be played in “an alternate format.” It was later revealed that due to close COVID exposure, bassist Stefan Lessard and drummer Carter Beauford would need to sit out the run. The alternate format included DMB’s keyboardist Buddy Strong playing drums, and Tony Hall of the opening band Dumpstaphunk playing bass.
During their second night, “almost” DMB covered the Beatles classic “Come Together.” Tim Reynolds blistering guitar work took front stage on the back half of the cover.
Thanks to Chester Copperpot for the great multi-cam footage!
