The John Kadlecik Band hit up Terrapin Crossroads for a two night stand this week on December 13th and 14th. Ahead of night one, John Kadlecik Band’s drummer Jay Lane, spilled the beans that Bob Weir was going to be sitting in with them that night.
Bobby came out after a few songs in the first set to finish out the last six songs in the set. Weir looked and sounded great after a couple weeks of rest after the premature end to the Dead and Company fall tour.
Bobby kicked off the sit-in with some swagger with “Walkin’ Blues.” “Bertha” came next followed by a sublime take on “The Maker.” A rocking “West LA Fadeaway” followed with some fiery licks courtesy of Kadlecik. The heavy politically themed “Throwing Stones” came next and ended with the Dead classic “Touch of Grey.”
