Watch Phish’s Epic Sunday Show at Bonnaroo – 6/16/2019 Video

After an awesome late night show at the Roo on Friday night, Phish returned to the What Stage for two full sets and an encore. While Phish has legions of fans in all corners of the world, Bonnaroo is arguably one of the biggest stages that the band has performed at in their 30+ year career. With all the other stages going dark around 9-10 last night, all eyes were on the Phish from Vermont.

The adage “never miss a Sunday show” held true once again. Phish pulled out all the stops for old and new fans alike. There wasn’t a pee-break available in the two sets. The first set featured Kasvot’s “Death Don’t Hurt Very Long” banger, “Sand” and “Wolfman’s Brother.”

The second set kicked off with a killer “Mike’s Song > Fluffhead > Twist -> Weekapaug Groove -> No Men In No Man’s Land -> Weekapaug Groove -> Twist .” If the first-timers aren’t fans after these two sets, they never will be.

Watch Pink Talking Fish’s Ridiculous Show at The National – 3/15/2019 Video

Pink Talking Fish, the cover band that combines Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish has a new guitarist and is out on the road this spring. Dave Brunyak, PTF’s former guitarist has split with the band to start his own project. PTF have enlisted Cal Kehoe as the new guitarist in the four piece band.

When Pink Talking Fish landed in Richmond, VA at The National, Cal had one show with the band under his belt. From the look and sound of it, he’s going to fit in quite well.

Since we last checked in with Pink Talking Fish, the four piece band has expanded their repertoire beyond the core Floyd, Heads and Phish material. PTF jammed and teased on tunes by Ween, Allman Brothers Band, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and more.

Listen to Phish’s Monster Finale in Mexico – 2/23/2019 AUD

Phish finished up their three night run in Riviera Maya, Mexico this past Saturday. With these being the only three Phish dates between last year’s NYE run at MSG and their 2019 summer tour, Phish made these shows count.

While the third night didn’t have the huge bust-outs that night one did, it had one hell of a setlist.

Night two kicked off with a rare opener and night three did as well—”The Curtain With.” The first real jam of the set came with “Blaze On > Destiny Unbound.” Trey treated Mexico to a beautiful “Divided Sky” that strikes me as the perfect song for an evening on the beach.

The second set is when things really started to heat up. Highlights include “Mike’s Song > Weekapaug Groove” and then the massive “Fuego > Tweezer > Carini > Ghost” block that lead way to the new and improved way to close a show—”Say it to me S.A.N.T.O.S.”

Phans expecting a pair of songs for the encore were overjoyed to discover the party wasn’t ending anytime soon. Trey and the boys reared a 6-song encore to cap off an epic weekend.

First Listen: Phish’s Killer Two Night Run at the Gorge – 7/16 & 7/17/1998 Full Shows AUD

Phish has a 20+ year history of playing at the Gorge—one of the world’s most breathtaking venues in Quincy, Washington. Trey and the boys played their second run there in July of 1998. Recently, gotfob posted a killer new FOB recording of the run and it sounds like a million bucks.

Highlights from 7/16 include a stellar “Reba” and an ultra funky “Moma Dance.” While Phish.net doesn’t give it status, I love the first set ending “Antelope.”

The 7/17 show is the more notorious of the run, specifically the monster four song second set. The first three jams—”Also Sprach Zarathustra,” and “Mike’s Song > Weekapaug Groove” clock in over 50 minutes! Definitely an all-time Phish set.

Listen to Phish’s Monster Vegas Finale – 11/14/2018 Full Show AUD

Phish brought their fall tour to close with their Las Vegas finale last night. The four night run started with Phish dropping a completely original set of new music. The next three nights were back to business as usual with a few teases of the new material debuted on Halloween.

Highlights from the first set included a killer “Moma Dance” opener and a jam-filled “Tube” in the middle of the set.

The second set was possibly one of the best sets of the tour. A raging “Carini” with a teast of the new song “Death Don’t Hurt Very Long” got things started and the party didn’t stop until the set closing “Split Open and Melt.” Highly recommend listening to this one from start to end!

The P-fish return to the stage at the end of December for their annual MSG run.
