Listen to Phish Drop Their 500th “Mike’s Song” in Nashville – 10/23/2018 Full Show AUD

After a monster run in Hampton, Phish turned their sites on Nashville for a pair of dates at the Ascend Amphitheater. After tonight’s show in Nashville, Phish will be halfway through their fall tour.

Phish started getting hot just at the crisp autumn air set in at the outdoor amphitheater. A first set “Tweezer Reprise” opener got things started off the right way. “Wolfman’s Brother” is also a highlight of the first set.

The big news of the night was that the second set “Mike’s Song” opener marked the 500th time Phish has played the song. “Mike’s Song” joins YEM and “Possum” in the 500 Club. For the record, as of 10/23/2018 this is what Phish.net lists as the top ten most played Phish songs are:

Classic: Watch Phish’s Legendary Second Set at the Gorge in 1997 – 7/17/1998 Full Set Video

While Phish’s 1998 summer tour may not stand toe to toe with their fall tour in 1997, the summer had its moments for sure. One of those moments was the second set of their show at the Gorge on July 17, 1998.

After a spacey intro to “2001,” Fishman and Page drop into a funky groove and set the stage for the longest version of “Also Sprach Zarathustra” ever. Next up is a heavy-duty, growling and gnarly “Mikes Song.” Phish opens up into a blissful jam on the second half of “Mike’s Song” before Fishman lays down the beat for a super funky “Weekapaug Groove.” “Character Zero” wasn’t the best or the worst way to end the set, but it really didn’t matter at that point.

Listen to Phish’s First Ever Show in Jacksonville – 10/16/2016 Full Show AUD

It’s hard to believe that Phish has never made their way to Jacksonville in their 30+ years of touring, but according to Phish.net, last night was in fact their first show in Jacksonville.

Last night marked Phish’s third show of their fall tour in support of their new album Big Boat. The show featured plenty of new material off their new album including the new opus Petrichor which they have played at all three shows. The two sets also included plenty of classic Phish tunes.

The highlights of the night were “Undermind” from the first set and a crazy 18-minute “Piper” in the second set. Phish treated the crowd to a cover of Jacksonville natives Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Ballad of Curtis Loew” for their encore.

Watch Phish’s Jaw-dropping Final Show at Dick’s – 9/4/2016 Full Show

While everyone was trying to figure out what the “gag” was going to be at Dick’s, Phish was busy putting together one of their best shows of the year.

The first set reads like a greatest hits compilation and the second set features the Talking Heads classic “Crosseyed and Painless” to kick it off and then teased in every song of the set. Throw in a drums section where all four members jump of the drums and you have yourself a classic Phish show.
