Dead and Company kicked off their last week of the summer tour with a bang in Irvine. While Donna hasn’t been a stranger to Dead and Co. this summer, the band hasn’t had a guest since Sammy Hagar stumbled his way through Loose Lucy in San Francisco. Last night, Bill and Mickey welcomed a third rhythm devil to share the stage – Jason Hann from String Cheese Incident. Jason sat in on Fire on the Mountain at the beginning of the second set.
The setlist (at least the first set) read like a Europe ’72 show. Maybe John was giving us a clue with his shirt choice.
And yes, that’s Bob Saget with Mayer.
Thanks as always to Quinfolk for the stream!
