The legendary Howlin’ Wolf cut “one of the defining classics of Chicago electric blues,” “Killing Floor” in 1964. The blues standard has been made popular time and time again by Jimi Hendrix and countless other blues mavericks.
One of the latest and greatest blues guitar slingers on the scene, Marcus King took his turn interpreting the classic. Carter Vintage Guitars recorded a session between King and Stephen Campbell on bass recently. Marcus is playing a 1957 Stratocaster and Stephen a 1966 Precision Bass. The vocal mic is an Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina.
Check out the Carter Vintage Guitar channel on YouTube for more tracks from the session.
