Deep Fried, a supergroup of yesteryear, included some of the finest musicians in the jam scene. The line-up for the southern collaboration that counted Johnny Neel, Brian Stoltz, George Porter Jr., and Matt Abts as members.

In 2004, Deep Fried hit up B.B. Kings in NYC for a show that was crashed by Uncle Warren. Haynes joined Deep Fried halfway through the set and for a massive encore for some Mule and a bunch of covers including a rare cover of the Beatles’ “Why Don’t We Do it in the Road” off the White Album.

Danny Louis (future member of Gov’t Mule) joined the band as did Jon Paris and the horn section from Deep Banana Blackout. What a gem of a show! Thanks to mike246 for sharing this classic recording!
