More footage from Bob Weir’s lengthy sit-in with Tom Hamilton’s American Babies at Sweetwater Music Hall last week has surfaced. The “Truckin’ ~ Scarlet Begonia’s ~ Fire On the Mountain” is arguably the highlight of the show.
Bob and THAB ease into “Truckin’,” but pick up the tempo quickly. Tom Hamilton and Bobby sound great sharing the vocals and Tom has played those solos from Truckin’ a zillion times including the time he destroyed LOCKN’ with JRAD.
At the end of “Truckin’,” Bob leads the transition into “Scarlet Begonias” which features more of the same—Bob and Tom sharing vocals and great solos from Hamilton. The transformation into “Fire on the Mountain” is seamless and the rest is history.
Thanks to MarkoVisionFilms for the awesome front row footage!
