The Magpie Salute is the newest incarnation of the Black Crowes, fronted by Rich Robinson and Marc Ford. While their sound and catalogue selection was born from the Crowes, they are definitely their own band. In a recent Rolling Stones article, Robinson revealed that the band is working on new material and will be releasing an album soon.

After their debut in NYC, The Magpie Salute scheduled their debut in Europe with a run of shows in London at Under the Bridge. The fourth and final spectacular show of the run was captured by taper SIRMick.

The recording reveals a band brimming with excitement and possibilities. The setlist is mostly drawn from Robinson’s solo work, Ford’s solo work and the Black Crowe’s catalogue. On the back of these shows in London, Robinson and Ford have plotted a full-blown tour this summer kicking off on the festival circuit in Europe and then heading to a dozen or so dates stateside.
