Aside from drummer Patrick Carney drumming in the Progressive Field bleachers this past week, all has been quiet from the blues duo Black Keys. That is until yesterday.

The Akron, Ohio based blues rock dup are returning to their roots with their upcoming album Delta Kream. Returning to the duo format, Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach have create an album of Mississippi hill country blues standards. Hell yea.

The first release off the album is a song attributed to John Lee Hooker and Bernard Besman titled “Crawling Kingsnake.” The track is reminiscent of the Junior Kimbrough covers album they released nearly 15 years ago.

Thanks to the Black Keys for sharing the new track! Look out for the album Delta Kream dropping on May 14th.
