You’ve heard it hundreds of times before. If you are like me, it’s one of the songs you grew up with. Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged session was one of the quintessential music events of the 90s. A loud and raucous grunge band strips down to acoustic instruments and reveal to America their raw talent.
The MTV Unplugged album was the first Nirvana release after Kurt’s death and the album was an instant hit. It debuted number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart, sold over 5 million copies and won a grammy for best alternative album in 1996.
While all of the Unplugged session is great, one of my favorite tunes of the show was the David Bowie’s chilling cover of The Man Who Sold The World. Enjoy!
