Watch the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street” at Anaheim in Summer of ’87

The Grateful Dead are back with another installment of All the Years Live on YouTube. The latest tour stop is July 26th, 1987 at Anaheim Stadium in Southern California.

Tucked into the middle of the first set was a groovin’ “Shakedown Street.” Here is what Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux notes about the performance, “A staple of the live repertoire since its debut in 1978, Shakedown Street was always a highly anticipated song to catch live, as it always delivered a long, inspired jam. Usually opening a first or second set, this one is from the second set of the final show of the Dead’ tour with Bob Dylan that ran July 4-26, 1987, featuring six shows, three on each coast.”

Watch Bob Weir Join the Terrapin Family Band in Menlo Park – 11/23/2022 Video

The Terrapin Family Band was recently in Menlo Park at The Guild Theater for a benefit show for the Peninsula Arts Guild. The Terrapin Family Band was happy to welcome Bob Weir for the show, as well as guitar slinger Eric Krasno. Molly Tuttle joined the band later in the set for the last few songs.

Listen to Phil Lesh and Friends Kick Off Run at the Capitol Theater – 10/14/2022 AUD

Phil Lesh returned for his annual October/Halloween run at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY. Phil’s run includes 9 dates throughout the month with a couple of different friends lineups.

For the first weekend, Phil’s crew included Ivan Neville on keyboards, vocals, Eric Krasno on guitar, vocals, Grahame Lesh on guitar, vocals, Alex Koford on drums, vocals, Phil Lesh on bass, vocals, John Scofield on guitar, Karl Denson on tenor saxophone, flute, vocals, percussion and Mikaela Davis on harp. Wow.

Watch Bob Weir and Wolf Bros with the National Symphony Orchestra Perform “Shakedown Street”

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros fall tour landed in Washington D.C. for a very special performance. Weir and his band were joined by the National Symphony Orchestra for two sets of good ol’ Grateful Dead tunes.

After an overture by the National Symphony Orchestra, Bob Weir and Wolf Bros joined the band and kicked off the show with “Shakedown Street.”
