Frontman for Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan is back with a new album and made an appearance in Brooklyn at the Murmmr Theater to share some of the new material. Among the new songs, where plenty of Smashing Pumpkin tunes and some surprising covers.

Introduced with a little humor, Billy Corgan’s cover of “Box of Rain” actually fits his voice and style well. Billy’s signature vocals that are the hallmark sound of the Smashing Pumpkins make this adaption work.

The next interesting cover is right in Billy’s wheelhouse—Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush.”

In addition to the covers, here are a couple of Smashing Pumpkins classic tunes that Billy treated Brooklyn to on the acoustic guitar including “Disarm,” and “Tonight, Tonight.”
