Updated: HD Stream from Phish’s Facebook page!
Phish started their long awaited New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden in NYC last night. If last night’s show was any indicator of what’s to come, we are in for a great NYE MSG run!
One of the highlights from last night’s show was P-fish coming out the gates with a blazing Wolfman’s Brother in the second set. One would image the band needs a song or two to warm up after a set break, but the boys get right to work with a jam that put MSG into a trance-like state.
The footage today is courtesy of Stephen Hurtes who was behind the stage. Before you throw pity on phans who get stuck behind the stage, I have sat in one of those sections for a Phish MSG show and it was awesome. The sound is actually awesome right behind the stage, you have a killer view of the rest of the crowd just as the band sees it and let’s be honest—any seat at MSG during the NYE run is going to a be fun time.
The song gets cut at 10 minutes, but the jam is too good not to share! Enjoy!
