On this day, back in 1973 Edgar Winter Group’s “Frankenstein” hit no. 1 on the U.S. charts. The classic tune has been a staple of classic rock stations ever since.

Phish opened their legendary 1994 Halloween show with “Frankenstein” and set the tone for a wild night of music. Trey kicked off the song wearing what appears to be a fluffhead looking mask that he could barely see out of, but managed to basically play blind for the beginning of the song.

Phish’s second set was The Beatles White Album in it’s entirety thanks to a vote from fans. Check out Phish.net for setlist and more details on the epic show.
