John Mayer continued his Search for Everything tour in Boston last night. As with all shows in this tour, Mayer had the full band come out, solo acoustic songs, a short stint with the trio and then the full band again.

During the trio portion of the show, bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan come out and JMT jams on originals from the John Mayer Trio albums and covers. Last night, JMT jammed on the Jimi Hendrix classic “Bold as Love.” The Hendrix tune allows Mayer to stretch out his fingers and gives Boston a soaring guitar solo during the cover.

Thanks to Matt Frazier for the awesome footage!
