Grateful Dead tribute band Jazz is Dead has reunited for a 25th anniversary tour this winter. The band is working through a string of dates that stretch from the Golden Coast to New York City.
Jazz is Dead is a quartet featuring original member and bassist Alphonso Johnson, guitarists Steve Kimock and Bobby Lee Rodgers, and percussionist Pete Lavezzoli.
At their stop at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, Jazz is Dead kicked off the show with a sprawling “Help on the Way > Slipknot! > Franklin’s Tower.”
