Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne are both no stranger to the acoustic guitar and have jammed together in the past on many occasions. The two singer-songwriters have teamed up this fall for an acoustic tour dubbed “Tourgether” and “Sitting Around, Singing Songs – An Acoustic Evening.” The tour kicked off with a pair of shows in Boston last week and the duo made their way down to Greenwhich, RI to the intimate Greenwich Odeum theatre.
Jackie and Anders played originals from both of their catalogues and of course some Grateful Dead. What was a surprise was the impromptu Tom Petty covers at the end of the show. Jam Buzz contributor, Jamey Klein had a great front row spot for the show and saw that the setlist mentioned nothing of the Petty covers.
Greene and Osborne paid tribute to the late rocker with three of his most iconic tunes including “Won’t Back Down,” “You Don’t Know How It Feels,” and “Breakdown.” Jackie goes on the keys and really gives it all he’s got on the vocals.
You Don’t Know How It Feels
Hell in Harlem
I’m So Gone
I Don’t Live In A Dream
Thanks again to Jamey Klein for the great front row footage and write-up!
